SWITZERLAND: Over 3 million Swiss financial accounts disclosed this year

Switzerland has provided details of 3.1 million accounts held by non-residents to their countries of origin or residence this year, collecting reports from 8,500 banks, trusts and insurers. It is not providing financial account information to nine countries on the grounds that they do not meet confidentiality and data security standards, according to the Swiss Federal Tax Administration.
