Announcing our Joint Venture Partnership in Australia

Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Group, two premium global airline groups, are excited to announce the launch of our historic Joint Venture partnership commencing 1 October, 2017.

In announcing this partnership, Singapore Airlines (including its subsidiary Silk Air) and Lufthansa Group (comprised of Lufthansa German Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines and Austrian Airlines) will offer Australian consumers more destinations, more benefits and a more seamless travel experience to and from Lufthansa Group’s home markets.

The Joint Venture is a wide-ranging agreement aimed at expanding codeshare ties, enhancing corporate programs and deepening commercial co-operation in key markets in Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia.

Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Group now offer direct services to Singapore from 8 Australian gateways and onwards to 29 destinations in Europe.  The Joint Venture’s Australia scope will cover routings between Australia and Lufthansa Group’s home markets: Austria, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
