Over the past 30 years, Pipilotti Rist has achieved international acclaim as one of the pioneers of experimental video art and multimedia installations. Incorporating video and sculpture, her dazzling environments plunge viewers into colourful kaleidoscopic projections which explore the relationship between nature, the body and technology.

Rist is one of the worlds foremost moving-image artists. She has been working with video since the 1980s, expanding the medium from single-screen video works to her recent whole-room installations. Her work draws on the history of video and television, celebrating the potential of each medium and exploiting their capability to connect with human emotions.
Swiss born Pipilotti Rist (Grabs, SG, 1962) has been regarded as pioneering in the fields of experimental video art and multimedia installation. Rist has a global presence, with exhibitions in all major cities and locations.
