Ever wondered about the fascinating, complex field of nanotechnology? Find out more during an engaging evening of short lectures on Advancements in Nanotechnology - Industrial Application in Energy Storage and Cyber Security.
Hosted by our new member, the Australian Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology (AINST) at its recently opened flagship building, Sydney Nanoscience Hub (SNH) at the University of Sydney, this event promises insights into the spectacular world of nanotechnology. Two fields have been selected to demonstrate its relevance to industry: methods of energy storage; and the race to build the first quantum computer (along with its impact on cyber security).
Join us for presentations and a Q&A, to learn how AINST engages with industry to make futuristic technology a reality. There will be an opportunity to network over refreshments and canapés, plus an optional tour through the state-of-the-art facilities at SNH. Please indicate your interest when registering for the event.
Speakers for the evening:
- H.E. Dr Anna Prinz, German Ambassador to Australia;
- Prof Thomas Maschmeyer, Director AINST, USyd;
- Prof Simon Ringer, Director Sydney Nanoscience Hub, USyd; and
- Prof David Reilly, Director Quantum Nanoscience Laboratory, USyd.
Registration from 5pm
Presentations & Q&A: 5.30pm
Tour & networking: 7pm
